WHY THIS EVENT?
Islam claims 1.2 billion adherents worldwide. There are 6 million Muslims in the United States and Islam is one of the fastest growing religions in the country.
The Nashville area is home to about 40,000 Muslims as well as many mosques and Islamic cultural centers. In addition, Nashville has received hundreds of refugees from Muslim-majority nations like Afghanistan, Syria, and Sudan. These refugees and asylum-seekers have been forcibly displaced from their homelands due to war and violence. This means that if you call the Nashville metro area home, there is a high likelihood is that you have friends, coworkers, classmates, and neighbors who are Muslim. The nations have come here! So how can we most effectively share the Good News of Jesus Christ with our Muslim friends and neighbors? How can we build relationships with Muslims that can demonstrate our genuine love for them? How can we serve the Muslim community in such a way that builds bridges for more relational connections? Join us and catch the gospel vision we have for all nations! |
"Brothers, my heart's desire and prayer to God for them is that they may be saved. For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge. For, being ignorant of the righteousness of God, and seeking to establish their own, they did not submit to God's righteousness. For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes." (Romans 10:1-4)
